Confusing scenario taking place over there. They are absolutely against anything of a Political nature when it comes to their postings and I do try and follow the Head Mod's rules and not push the envelope so to speak. There was a post on their General Forum Board talking about the proposal of cutting and dividing the State of CA into six independent States. All was going along really nicely. The usual CA bashers were poking the Bear but for the most part a really civil engagement by all participants. Until today when two Clowns over there started going at it. I posted that they should pipe down as if this type of nonsense will surely get this thing locked. Will I come back to see if there had been any responses to my last post on the subject and guess what? It was completely deleted. Not a trace, no explanation, no nothing. Did a Topic Search and not even a trace that it was ever there. This type of action seems to take place far too often for my taste. It stinks of complete Censorship. I understand rules are there for a reason, but all too often it seems that if their Mods or the Top Dog don't like something being discussed, the plug is pulled without any reason as to why. There was no foul language, no threatening exchanges, just really good passionate debate.
The reason I am bringing this up here is that we, as Members of FBBO, are really quite a group when it comes to being able to voice our concerns and opinions here. For this site to have a Political Forum speaks volumes as to the way the Mods and Joey have decided that it is far more important to honor ones opinion, right or wrong, without the threat of being Censored. The idea of debated topics in a free Forum that the average individual can participate in is truly one of the great things that make this site what it is. The Best. We do have rules to abide by here as well. And for the most part, our Political Forum is really quite tame now that for the most part, those that at one time would always want to stir the pot, have either left the forum or the Board altogether.
For me this is why I am always here as opposed to there. I do have a lot of friends and fellow like minded sorts over there and yet I still find that this is the place to be. To me it just speaks volumes of how great this site is. I just wish that those of them over there that would fit in here would do so. But alas...the Censorship continues. And the good ones still stay.
