After the success of the show last year, the group is very optimistic that the event will be even bigger and better than last year. Mark the calendar for Friday and Saturday, May 12th and 13th for another awesome weekend in Chattanooga, TN. The show will kickoff with a cruise from the base site at Camp Jordan to the Coker museum for a luncheon. After the get together at the Coker facility, you will be able to cruise down to Brainerd Dragstrip for match races between eight Super Stock cars featuring Herb McCandless, Mike Buckle, Dick Jones and others. Local grudge races will be ran as well for anyone wanting to bring their car out. Then on Saturday, cars from throughout the South East will be heading to Chattanooga for a day of fun. A barbecue lunch will be available. Attached is a link to the show's web site and Face Book site. If anyone has any questions, please drop Ken Meredith a call or an email. http://www.mopartypicnic.com/

Anyone attending the Chattanooga show who may be needing any restoration parts or materials, drop me a message as we will be bringing a assortment of weatherstripping, washer bottles, battery cables, trim, etc to the show. This will save you on shipping and our prices are always competitive.

Spoke to Ken this morning, as of May 5th, the number of preregistered cars is 255 up from 33 last year. The total number of registered cars last year was 303, so lets turn out and push this number to over 500 for this year. There has been a very strong response to the racers coming out for the Friday night drags. Confirmed preregistered entrants are from as far away as Tampa, FL. and Madison, MS.
So if your in the vicinity, come out and support the cause. The money is all going to a very good cause and it is a very inexpensive event. The swap meet is even free if you would like to bring out some of those parts that you would like to get rid of.
If you should be attending the event, stop by and say hello as we will be located in the main arena with some of the parts that we manufacture and sell.

JW and Angela from Hames Restoration got into the arena this afternoon and are in the process of setting up for tomorrow. They told me that cars were already there, so lets hope the rain misses the show as it looks like a tremendous turnout. Stop by and introduce yourself if you should be attending the event.
