Thanks guys. Its been about 2 years so far, hard to find the time and money. Once I get the fenders, valance, hood, and that great looking bumper on it then I'll feel it was worth it. As for the hood I would love an air grabber but Im dreaming. I'll most likely go with a RR and just clone it.
Just got my fenders ,Front valance, drivers dr, and filler panel. Had to drive 3 1/2 hours to get them. One good thing is theres no rot, just some surface. Im pretty much done up to those parts. Don't know why pics are so small, sorry.
Looking real good! Ordinary i would agree with the hood but i found this one you may want to check out, almost down to bottom of page, left side.. look around for another one, you may find it. Good luck.
The hood turned out great. Blasted a few spots on bottom side. Looks good enough to paint body colour. Last piece of metal I need is the dreaded REAR VALANCE which they dont make us 72 owners. Anyone know of one let me know please.
Looks great William! fixing to take my fenders off soon and patch them. I was curious as to what you did with your inner fender wells... did you use POR-15 or some equivalent? It looks like it was coated somehow. I plan on doing something of the like, but am always looking for suggestions.
Heres a bunch of parts I got dipped today. Bumper supports, valance, header, hood hinges, batt tray, and rear lic plate. They came out great, theres no way I could of got all that rust without dipping them. Highly suggest to dip your parts, it gets you back to bare metal with less work and all that material you would of used. Only four hours and they were ready to pic up.
William Looks really good! They don't make the valance panel for 73 either, mine was bad on one end and i called these guys.. http://www.shopmopar.com/ and they had one but i didn't know if maybe i was buying one in bigger dire straights so i fabed the end of mine and went with that.. Bad part is, they know they don't make them also, They wanted $230.00 dollars so its something if need be, id try posting here in the parts wanted threads. Good luck to you.
Nice out, had to set the parts on to take a look (not bolted on). I have not had fenders on it in over two years! This brings back the interest to keep going.
