Long story short, on my 1970 RR 383 I noticed that my 727 auto transmission kick down linkage started to have issues moving freely. After careful inspection, I noticed that the linkage is now rubbing up against my headers down below. This recently happened after some spirited driving.
My dad said the issue could be caused by a bad motor mount. I inspected them, they are hard to see but from what I can tell, they don't look blown or broken.
I just pulled my transmission mount, it doesn't look bad to me. Thoughts?
Could anything else be causing my issue? The linkage never rubbed before, and the headers i have on were dealer installed back in 1970... so they have been on the car for a long long time.
Pics attached.
