Well finally put my engine in my 63 Polara, but there is a problem.....I can get the bolts in on the drivers side mount, but on the passenger side, they won't go in..the mount needs to come up. My question is , is there a simple way to lift the engine, just a little to get my mount to move. or do I have to take out the bolts in the bell housing and start over again!!! Thanks

You could put a jack under the oil pan. Make sure you put a 2x6 or 2x8 piece of wood between the 2. You should be able to lift the motor a few inches that way. Make sure you keep an eye on the trans and firewall clearance because once you hit the firewall the oil pan will give. I learned this the hardway. You could also loosen the trans mount nuts to give you a little more movement so things don't get into a bind.

Put everything in loose to start, it's amazing how much adjustment is in the mounts.
