Maybe you can help me decipher the number on my engine 9C247895. I have a 69 Road Runner. The date code on the block looks like it’s correct for the car as a March 69 date. Thanks

the last 6 should match the vin if original to the car

9 = 1969

C= whatever assembly plant

is it me or does that look stamped over?

9G247895 would be appropriate for a Road Runner built at the St. Louis plant with an SPD of 409. It may be marked HP on the pad next to the distributor.
9C247895 would be out of a Chrysler with an SPD of 322. It would not be marked HP on the pad next to the distributor.

I believe you are right. It’s a G

Looks like 9Gxxxxxx to me
9G could be original to a 69 rr. 9C won't be.
As said above, should match the vin if original.

Look at the VIN tag on your dash - Is it RM23H9G247895 (or - RM21H9G247895)?

Edit: -Probs not as it looks like a blue engine painted orange?

Then the next question would be is it an A/C car?

RM23…but the last numbers don’t match. Looks like it’s a date code correct 69 Road Runner motor but not matched to the vin.
