Well not that most of you guys care about where I am located but for those that are keeping track I will be making a move. Picking up roots here in NW Indiana and moving to the Green Bay area of Wisconsin. Lucked out and have an opportunity to work with Cummins and can't pass it up.

If anybody is looking for housing in the Chicago/NW Indiana area I have a house for sale!

So to all of you guys from Wisconsin especially the Green Bay area, fill me in on where the best cruises, shows etc take place.

Oh I forgot to mention the Coronet is finally in the shop for paint and not just waiting in line!

Good luck with the new career and with the move! Sometimes a change of scenery isn't a bad thing :)

Also nice to hear that your car is making progress!

Hope the new home and job work out for you KB. Does that mean you are going to be a Cheesehead now?

I agree! Depending where you move around Green Bay, I'll be within an hour of you as well.

Some of the bigger show's/cruises:
Iola Car show & swap meet <-------It's huge
Jefferson Spring & Fall Car Show and Swap Meet <-------Pretty big, lotta swap meet.
Appleton's License to Cruise<--------Big show, shut down entire main drag
Appleton's Pierce Park Car Show<-------Nice sized show, about 1000 cars last summer.
Bay Custom's Fun in the Sun Car Show, Green Bay. Smaller show, but nice setting.
A & W Cruise nights, every tuesday night, East Green Bay
Cool City car show and cruise, cruise from Manitowoc to Two rivers

There's a lot of others:

We like our cars up here! You'll fit right in. Good luck with your move and new Job. Don't be afraid to look me up when you get up here.

I wish you well, I hope the move & career change is effortless & all works out for the best, on the other hand, I have absolutely no interest in Chicago area at all, you'd have to pay me extremely big $$$ to even consider living/moving there, I'd keep the $$$ & I probably still wouldn't move there...LOL... sorry I had to do that, no offense intended/meant... Good Luck

Yes, freeze your ask off...& drive your car 1/3 of the year....and fix stuff all the time because of cold, salt, frost,......but then you have the G.B.Packers...and when they win everyone is happy...but when they lose you get drunk and beat the crap out of your...
the very "Best of Luck" to you and God Bless you.

BTW: no one dies from jumping out of a window in Green Bay, due to a loss....they just break an arm or leg.:glasses10:

Sonny,
I agree with Budnicks and I've been living here for 7 years... Chicago is just not my kind of place. And I like the weather up there BETTER than down here.

Prop,
We'll definitely get together for a cruise and show...now if only I can find a good house so I can get all moved in and put the car back together once they are done with it. This is going to be a very busy spring!

Thank you to all who have commented so far!

Cummins sounds like a good place to work..Solid company. Good luck with the move mate.

Without knowing the details, sounds like a great opportunity!! One of the biggest barriers people face in improving their life situation, and that of their family, is the unwillingness to relocate. I'm sure everyone has their reasons however; it never stopped me and I definitely would not be where I am today if I'd have turned down opportunities for advancement (skill and financial) and relocation. GOOD LUCK! And enjoy the ride!!

Welcome to Wisconsin. Come smell our dairy air! Good luck with the move. I think you will find for the most part everyone will be super friendly and always willing to give a helping hand.

Good deal ! Cummins is a Very good company to work for ! Have been working with them for years .
