I'm in the process of changing my orange box for an MSD 6al. Everything seems to be going smooth, but there was a wire coming from the neg side of the existing MSD Blaster2 coil that goes through the firewall and I'm having a hard time tracing it. I have a feeling it goes to a ground, maybe in the fuse box, but I'm not sure. Does that make sense??

Thanks BZ. Just squeezed my tired far *** under the dash and that's exactly where it went. Right to the tach. So I guess I can just get rid of that wire and run the gray wire from the MSD box to the same post that was on??

The MSD box should have a "tach" terminal. Do not hook your tach to the coil neg post like before or hook the MSD "tach" connection to the coil. The only wires that go to the coil should come from the MSD. Orange and small black I believe?
