Love it!! Love the Coronets!!Welcome! Gotta love the 4 doors. This is mine, was my Great Grandmother's. 383/auto/ a/c car. All original. Stroked to 496. Love the hoodscoop. Often wondered, now I know!!!View attachment 1086285
I kind of wish I hadn’t cut the hood for the scoop. That being said you are limited on intakes, air cleaners, Phenelic spacers without the scoop. My motor sticks through the hood. I like the scoop...body colored may be better. The hood scoop is the part I don’t like too much, doesn’t fit the 4 door image. LOL
You have my dream carWelcome ,Love that sleeper, However I am bias . You can see from my avatar.
The whole car was $500 away from being cut up forever....I offered $500 more than a guy I met later who offered $3000. He was going to cut it up for his GTX buildShould have cut a different hood and keep the blue one nice. The just go all black with hood and scoop.
I’m posting this for the next guy that wants to cut up a car. Not beating on foxfive at all.
I agree...the paint makes that car and the paint is original with a buff. I still have the metal from the hood...basically its air cleaner size but the paint is only original onceGood save, looks too nice to cut up.
like o said, not beating on you at all, just to get folks to think a minute before cutting nice painted body parts.
Haven’t gotten to the strip...was working out electrical issues all last summer lolSo, what does it run?
So cool!!There’s something to be said about more door race cars View attachment 1087531
People think they are heavier than they are...I have seen a lot of different weights. Being Unibody with a small block with aluminum heads heads and stuff I’m guessing about 3300-3500#. They are very narrow...not big cars. Al though the steel was more dense back then.Do you know how much it weighs?
I know they are light.
I pushed my 4 door parts car around on dollies all by myself.
I could almost spin it around from one end.
Very interested to see how it runs.
