Well, here she sits after paint and body. Does anyone have a suggestion or two about flooring options? Paint, undercoat, Lizard Skin...? (Inside pics below)

Awesome car ! What you do on the floor depends on what your desired outcome is... originality, sound, corrosion prevention, etc... And, inside or underside, or both ?

Man, Thats a great looking car! Im not sure what your really looking for but im using this stuff on another car, its supposed to be real good..

This is a little of what they say about it..

Details
"Rubberized" Rust Encapsulator stays flexible as it stops rust in its tracks Eastwood's Rubberized Rust Encapsulator is the flexible version of our high-performance Rust Encapsulator coating that applies directly over rust or bare metal to provide long-term corrosion protection.

Flexible finish protects surfaces from abrasions, and deadens sound
Epoxy-fortified for better adhesion and durability
Withstands up to 250°F
One aerosol covers about 10 square feet"

I would put the lizard skin on there, and the matting to keep it as quiet as possible. You'll be glad you did.

I used a spray on bed liner (Xtreme liner) and then insulated (B Logic) it all but have seen many good options that I would consider.

Wow, very nice! What's going in the engine bay?

Sorry for the lack of updates, it seems life has gotten itself in the way of things yet again...However I have at least managed to hoard some parts since my last update.

So far I'm refreshing the original 383 and putting it back into the car, but I also have a date '71 coded 440 4bbl from a Charger R/T that I would like to build up eventually and drop in, maybe put in a hotter cam, 6bbl setup...still not sure. But for now, here's some recent pics of the 383 teardown and a few new parts worth mentioning:

Mmmmm 30 year old sludge.

This one has a steep 4.56 ring gear, it's getting swapped for a more highway friendly 3.54

More to come in the next few months! (Hopefully weeks)

This is John Herlitz Iconic design. Do the roof to if the headliner is out. Keeep it quiet. I used hardware store knock off. Use what you want. That's gonna be a bitchin Mopar. I'd put black inside, who wants to keep white clean?

I did pull out the headliner and insulation also, there is some surface rust to deal with but nothing major. On another note I had decided to go with black interior from the beginning; I ended up getting it all from Legendary Auto interiors, really good quality stuff and priced decently if you buy it all at once for a bulk discount. I can't wait until I get to install it...!
