My 1972 Charger

I got all kinds of new parts. New fan clutch and shroud, new batterybox to vent the battery, new gas tank and fuel lines. Ill be putting everything in here the next two weeks. Will post more as soon as i get to it.

Well I got a whole bunch of new parts. New fan clutch, shroud, gas tank, and fuel line. Put the fan clutch on today and took off that stupid electric fan that was on it. It looks so much better now. Ill get more pictures up as soon as I get the gas tank in. I also found out the front passenger side sits about an inch an a half lower than the drivers, so I need to figure out whats up with that in due time.

Probably just need to adjust the passenger side torsion bar screw. What I did was measure from the floor to the wheel well edge. And evened them out. But I think the manual says to go from the center of the wheel to the first body line? Either way will get u close.

Forgot to mention, if the wheel sizes, tire sizes, and air pressure isn't the same, then adjusting the torsion bars wont help till you get the same size wheels and tires in the front with the same air pressure. Also similar thread depth. Don't want a bald tire on one side and a new tire on the other.

wrong driver side wiper arm.

440 looks to be cast crank by the dampener ( externally balanced )...

Sweet car. i'd say you got a nice deal. and now that u have a new fan clutch and shroud, junk that low profile flex fan get an oem one. it makes half the cfm u need.

Yea, I did junk that flex fan. If I remember correctly I threw it like the ninja star it looks like as hard as I could, youd be supprised how far they can fly. I got an OEM style 6 blade. It looks a million times better with the shroud and clutch on it. it sits about 2-3 inches from the radiator. And that big restrictive electric fan is now gone.

Still waiting on the gas tank to come in. And then I can start taking it out on short trips till im sure It will make the longer ones. Towing that thing behind my little cavalier is insulting.

yup, If anything should be the other way around! :) Its coming, soon you'll be riding around forgetting the work, wish it was summer already and its a bad time to start that lol.

Red what was it you didn't like about the electric fan?

Red what was it you didn't like about the electric fan?

Almost every person thats taught me anything about cars has hated electric fans on the street. Dont get me wrong, I think that electric fans can be awesome, but they are normaly the expensive ones meant for a run down the track or way more expensive ones wired correctly (which I cant do). That fan I took off was in a bad spot, didint allow air to pass through the radiator even if it was going, and It wasint wired correctly. with that shroud and the clutched fan on now, I can feel air sucking through the radiator.

I got a video of it running though. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXj3J6xV-sw

What is this cluster set from, it has a tach?
71-74 Rally dash. It's correct for your model year and body style but probably didn't come with your car based on the fender tag, but i could be wrong. However don't let that bother you at all. It is a correct as an option for your car/year and they look cool as hell. .

Got the gas tank in, but its not venting. (loud suck when I open the cap) Anyone know where to find a vented gas cap that will fit my filler neck? I just want the simplest and quickest way to do this.
