My 64 Max -Wedge Build

going to have body colored rear steel wheels and old cast aluminum looking torque thrusts up front. I'm hoping to have it wired and rolling with interior this winter. Build motor over summer. Maybe fire it up before next winter. On one hand this pesky job stops me from getting more done. On the other hand, this isn't cheap.. so I need the job!!!! haha... thanks for the kind words guys. I'll keep you posted as I make progress. If anyone is in Delafield, wisconsin. Let me know. Would be happy to have you stop in and take a look see...

Finally had some time to work on the 64 this weekend. Just working on a million small little details. Opening up all the million different zip loc bags of nuts / bolts hardware. It does now finally meet the basic definition of an automobile. 4 wheels / tires and rolls. Unfortunately not under its own power...

Is your steering box natural or did you coat it with something? It really looks good!

I'm hand sanding my '62 firewall and I didn't realize just how complex it is to sand around all the different shapes. Media blasting would have been ideal but I'm not tearing the whole car apart!

I media blasted it to clean it up. Then used a flat clear coat.

making progress. little by little. Dash is in. I got my carbs/intake back from Brian Brady with crossram connection. He's local here in milwaukee area. Does great work!

I need a little help. I'm assembling the doors / windows. I don't have some of the small lock rod clips. They are metal. slide over the small rods itself and then fold down over the top. I found some of the square style clips online. Those are for the door lock link. but nothing that folds down over the small rods itself.

The self help section at your local auto parts store has them.
