Hello all,
I bought a new to me 1968 Charger back May of last year. It's a 383 2BBL Car originally. My whole intent was to drive it and slowly work on it but just have a fun weekend cruiser. That lasted for about 2 months. The seller I bought it from was very shady and not very upfront with the car. We talked back and forth for a week, and I decided to buy the car and have it transport to me from WI to Texas.
Anyways about 2-3 weeks into ownership I noticed several things wrong with the car, the wiring was done by a 8 year old with his eyes closed wrong master cylinder as it was converted to disc brakes, pads where on backwards on one wheel and super low oil pressure. I knew from here its time to tear it down and make it right. Luckily for me I happened to know a few amazing people at Painless wiring harness and agreed to be the test mule for them and got a complete new wiring harness from headlight to taillight all for free. Such an amazing group of women and men there and did an excellent job.
Once I got the car back I figured it was time to tear the engine apart and start to rebuild it. I figured if im going into it, why go back to stock? So motor came out. The motor work was done by the amazing guys over at G2 Garage in White Settlement TX (DFW Area) If you live in the DFW area I cannot recommend them enough. Great guys that know their stuff. The did an amazing job with the car and made new friends in the process.
