Hello all,
wanted to introduce myself to you guys in the forum. I always have questions when I buy new toys and have found long ago that forums have given me more pertinent information than most other research I can do. Adding a pic of my new 1970 roadrunner that is about 3 weeks old (to me) now. It's the car I've always wanted but needs some love and attention that I believe it has been lacking for some years.

Hope the pics come through.

Thank you you all in advance because I am definitely going to have some questions.

Thanks. It's the car I've wanted for a long time. Right now it's a 20 foot car. It looks really great from 20 feet. Up close it has some...... Let's call them "issues".

Beautiful car. Keep the rubber on the ground & let others wish they had what you have.

Still looks pretty good dude. If you're planning on tearing down and rebuilding I hope you start a thread. Would look forward to following along. Welcome and good luck.

Looks very nice for a 'twenty-footer'. Welcome to FBBO and please feel free to share more pics. :hello2:

nice ride

welcome to FBBO

hi and welcome to the site, 70 `s are my favorite style, and yours sure is looking very good ,I have thread going about 1970 `s photos drop by and add yours too.:headbang:

Drive it. Enjoy it. Upgrades.

Thanks a lot guys. It's a dream car for me. Not doing any kind of major tear down but am doing a lot of smaller clean up, touch up, and and minor mechanical. Whoever did the car, looks like a rush job.
Started a thread about the grille that I have removed and refinishing now. Looks like years of $2.00 spray paint jobs. Unfortunately I didn't get a "before" picture of the center section, but will get one of the bezels tonight. Finding a lot of dents and pits in the plastic. Found a thread about melting a Lego with acetone. BRILLIANT!!
Looks like the car was painted in a hurry with most of the trim and plastic parts taped off. (Badly)!!!
Took the tail lights apart over the weekend and gave them a good scrub and they are 110% better now. Put led bulbs in. But need to find a way to get paint off the tail light plastic without damaging the tail light. Ideas??
I'll get some good pics and post them soon.

Nice car! 1970 Road Runners are my favorite car. Mine is currently being restored.

Welcome to the site as we can all learn from each other!

Welcome and nice looking ride, i like the go wing on there, have an original for mine and will be adding it as soon as time permits. Mine did not have the wing originally and the lid did not have the provisions so i bought a lid that had them and am going to keep my original lid on the side. Looking forward to more pics

Thank you moparparts. I've got some more pics coming soon. Going to be posting some this evening after work of my progress on my front grille. Melting Legos with acetone, for filling gaps and cracks, is working beautifully after perfecting my technique and practicing on procedure. I remembered to do before, during and after pics this time. Looking forward to see what you guys think.
Picking it up from paint shop this evening also after getting the black on the hood repainted.
