There was a few surprises

There were a few surprise, but all in all a very solid car. I am optimistically happy so far.

Thanks guys! I hope within the next couple of weeks I will have it back from paint. So I will post pics then.

Welcome to the site, was that car already on the island when you found it?, very kool `72.

Yes this car has been on the island for quite a while. It was brought over several years ago by a military member. It went through 2 more owners before ending at my door. Now I think she has a home.

Just give me a call when I shall come over to help you rebuilt it, I will take the next flight ;-) Honolulu sounds much better than a winter in Sweden...
Good luck with the rebuilt!

Updated work so far

Here is an update on the metal work done so far. I hope within the next couple of weeks we can be close to throwing some paint on her. Also, thanks Swede for the offer might take you up on it.

that's an amazing job on the do-it-yourself repair.

Oh no this is not a do-it-yourself. I wish I was that handy. I have a guy that was referred to me by the guy that sold me the car. So far, I am very proud of his work. He still has to grind down the welds and a little more prep work, but I couldn't be happier. Thanks everyone for the comments.

it's still a good job.alot of other people here can get good ideas from that, keep the pics coming.

I LOVE it ! GB5 is one of my favourite colours ; and 1972 is my favourite year for "B" bodies .

Please tell me that you're going to properly paint the motor in Chrysler Engine Blue with an orange air cleaner ...

I like seeing that its dash wasn't butchered for an after market radio ; a dash that's been hacked-up for a radio is one of my pet peeves !

Beautiful work thusfar .

72 Coronet, my plan is going back as original as possible with it. I wasn't sure what the correct color for 72 was, but if you say Chrysler Blue with Orange Dual Snorkel then that is what it will get. Thanks everyone for the comments. She is getting closer every week.

Here is some pics of some of my items painted

Just got my dash and trim parts back from paint. So here is what they look like.
