My brand new (to me) 1970 Charger 500

Does the car still have the vin and fender tags? Curious about just what you have there. No matter what, 2300 bucks was still a heck of a deal

Sadly it does not have the fender tag, I'm going to contact the owner maybe he knows where it went, it does have the VIN though

From where I sit, you walked into a SUPER deal... Are you Irish, and now you better but some lottery tickets. From the Pacific Northwest, Welcome too the FBBO and Thanks for joining the group. :welcome:

The VIN should start with XP29l0G......
All 1970 Chargers were built in the St Louis plant. I have a 1970 500 as well but I made mine a fake R/T. I paid $1700 in March of 2000. You did score a GREAT deal though...I've seen running, driver type cars with asking prices well over $10,000.
MORE pictures!

Original engine? 5th digit of vin

Non-original engine. VIN is XP29G0G211591

Here's a couple more pictures, I'll take some of the interior next week when I get back from work. Interior is rough... a lot of rats made their home underneath the back seat...

Enjoying my favorite beer.

Went down to get two "new" front tires since these were shot. Scored a couple tires for free since all I need to do right now is just move her back and forth.

And I gave her a very VERY delicate bath with special precautions around the rusty areas. I felt like she deserved to be cleaned up. This was before I started her up and let her run for a while and drove her up and down the driveway a couple times... man I can't wait to put some proper brakes on so I can drive this thing !

Cool...The VIN shows the car to be originally equipped with a 318....like mine was!
