The trim clips kit that I had bought did not have the right sized clips for the bottom of the front window. I had installed them the other day in preparation for the window installation. When They installed the windshield the clips were to low and would not clip the lower trim on. I had them remove the window. (which was scary to me. I thought that they were going to break it.) I re-drilled the clip screw pilot holes 1/4” higher and reinstalled the clips. They reinstalled the windshield and everything fit good. I was happy.

I do! I can feel it now. when I get free time I go work on my car now. I can't wait to take my wife out on the town in it.

I worked on fitting some more interior trim. Just like everything else I needed to custom fit everything.
Having put in the screws before the headliner made it nice and easy to cut holes only where I needed.

I somehow got the wrong rear view base. It doesn’t quite fit with the front headliner trim. It was too wide so I measured where it was too big and ground it to fit.

Today I tried to finish everything I could under the dash so that I can start working on carpet and seats. There were still a couple electrical problems that I have not been able to figure out so I just focused on those first. First I could not get the A/C heater blower fan to work. After tracking down all of the wires and testing them I realized that I had two wires hooked up backwards on the fan switch. Changing those wires fixed that problem. Next I could not get the reverse lights to work. I ended up just adding my own jumper wires and now they turn on with the reverse switch like they should.

Now that all the electrical is figured out under the dash I could install all of the vent tubing. Hopefully I won’t have to lay under the dash much more now. I have spent a lot of time on my back under there today.

Everything is looking so good and coming along nicely. Seeing you putting on the windshield trim clips, and noticing the wiper and the lovely paint job around it made me think of something. You may have already done this but i’ll mention it anyway. Be sure to test the wiper action before putting on the arms. Turn on the switch and have it go through its motions and make sure when you turn it off it sets itself back to the park position. If you put the arms on before ensuring it is in park, as soon as you put power to the system it could pull the arms down and make a nice little scratch in your beautiful paint job.

The wiper arms are one of the things on my list that I will be doing soon. I will be sure to check before I put them on. I would be sick if I watched them rake down across the paint.

Installing the carpet took me longer than I thought it would. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t make any wrong cuts. I would cut a little, fit, cut a little more, and fit until I was satisfied with the fit.

Don't you love that new carpet smell in there now? Funny, I was laying in my car's floor the other night, where my passenger seat is still out, working on under dash wires and thought about taking a snooze, it was so clean and comfy., I even had a pillow. ha.. I'm thinking I will when I get the radio in, put on some snooze music. ah..

I installed a pusher fan on the front of my condenser, that will turn on when the compressor turns on, to make sure I always have air flow when the A/C is on.

I have been working on trying to fit the front clip on my car. My painter said that he had pre-fitted the fenders and good and that everything fit well. I have not been so lucky. I can’t seem to get them to fit right with the revile. I have had to custom ream holes and shims. I have taken the fenders off and on many times and will do it many more times before I am done. I am getting better reveals now.

Getting closer.

I have added almost two feet to the length of my car.
