So I sold my 68 Formula s to a couple of guys 36 yrs ago , wasn't wanting to sell but was in need of some cash and had listed a 392 hemi for sale, the guys saw my car hidden behind my grandparents trailer, so no one would bother me its a 340 s auto car. Just spent$1000 on a paint job probably a year before, and had paid 3k for it from I 70/80 raceway in md. Anyway found it again few years ago, tried to get it,trade deal etc. didn't work. This past weekend one of the guys said he was going sell it,so contacted him and look what followed me home. Has a 440 , aluminum heads and 4:30 gears. Going to try and find the 340 . Has hemi hood now But getting back good many original parts.

Love love it

Thanks, now gotta figure out what way I want to go, back to 340 or just leave it alone.

Your pics show a healthy 340 in the day but also love big block power. 340 lighter but big motor in it and running and no added expense

What a good problem to have! Congratulations on getting it back!

Man that brought back a childhood memory. My younger brother and I would do a lot of buying and get them running again. We had this '68 formula S, 383 four speed. We blew the motor in it. These are some pics after we pulled the 383.

Great score getting it back home.
And thanks for the brief well written short history story. It helps with my short but interested attention span.

Pictures pulling front wheels was the other guy ,with the 440, I have no pictures of it when I had it , was blue patchy looking and then I had it painted red with a Stripe similar to Bob Reed's Cuda

Ok first ride drove it to a benefit for a local guys son who was in a coma from a car accident. No pictures of my car but a 70 satellite got its picture taken.
