Real roadrunner, but previous owner put gtx emblems on it.

Thanks everyone. Plum crazy is my favourite colour. That and 71-72 is my favourite body style for my favourite car, the roadrunner. Now this car definitely still needs a fair bit of finishing work, but, I think we found a deal that was good for us both.

Hey Cranky, that rear end photo look familiar? Thanks again buddy.

Well, Dolores and I made it home in one piece and she actually started driving a fair bit more lively and spirited the further along we got. I must admit, I'm in love. Lol.

More to come!

Great score, sweeeeet ride! Good luck with it!

Thanks folks. Now I just have to figure out how to unstuck the radio dial (I overturned it the first day... sigh...) lol

Congrats man!! Looks awesome, love the white interior. Are you going to keep it a RR GTX or take it back to a RR? Seeing your 440 painted the correct blue really makes me want to pull mine and paint it the right color. Id still like to find the moron who painted my 440 orange and punch him.

We gotta get together somewhere between Delaware and Pittsburgh, there arent any 72s near me, "Wilma" needs a friend.

Thanks Man, no, I'm going to remove the GTX emblems and put it back to the roadrunner it was originally built as. Crappy thing is that I think those are the emblems with the posts that go through the medal, so I'll have to have those holes taken care of when I finally get around to repainting it.

Man, as soon as I get her titled in my name, I will be all about it BIG TIME! "Dolores" needs a friend too. lol. I was actually thinking there are some decent country roads out there near Hershey. There was actually an old auto garage I saw on the side of the road thats name was "Roadrunner Auto Shop."

Not to mention the next time there's an event at Carlisle. Now, granted, my car will look as busted as can be next to others there, but it should still be a fun time!

Take your car to the Chryslers at Carlisle show. People will love seeing this car there.

Defenitely will, got to get it inspected first though. Got the high beams figured out, just need to replace the bulbs, but at least the switch is working now. Now I just need to get the gas spillage and fume leakage under control... Sigh.... Lol.

When is the next Chryslers at Carlisle? Don't let the pictures fool you, this is defenitely a work who's progress is just starting. The pictures make the paint and body look a lot better than it is.... Lol

Looks great! 71-72 have to be the best looking Roadrunners imo!!! (My dad wrapped a gunmetal 71 GTX around a telephone pole back when he hit some black ice back in 72!! 440's & ICE don't mix!)

They're defenitely my favorite! Lol, that's why I'm trying to rush to get it passing inspection right now. Want to get as much driving done as possible before the first freeze! lol.
