I have a chance to get a 1971 Town and Country wagon that has disc brakes and a 440 engine and automatic transmission. Obviously, I can use the engine and transmission in my '68 Charger but what about the disc brakes? I've looked through all the posts I can find here and other forums, and there are mentions of the C body stuff working on older B Bodies, but I haven't found anything definitive. I'm hoping the A/C system is complete as well, to replace the missing pieces on mine. Anything else useable from that wagon? Did they ever put SureGrips in them and how could I tell besides jacking it up and spinning the wheels? (Sorry, maybe that's a GM positraction thing).

Thanks very much! Forgive me if this has been covered somewhere and I missed it.

No.

Look for disc brake set ups from 73+ Chargers, Volares, Aspens, Magnums, Etc.
Cbody stuff is specific. Now no more questions Dam it.:D

No crime in asking questions. Better to be informed, than guessing.

There should be an axle code on the fender tag.

If it's unmolested and a factory limited slip, it should have a rectangle tag on one of the carrier bolts with the gear ratio and might also have a round sure grip tag.
