I sold this as I was just finishing the resto. I don't even have any interior shots of the restored interior. I had done this car with the intentions of keeping it, but when the 66 came along I decided to sell it, and figured no man really needs TWO Hemi cars.

I had Dick Landy rebuild the original engine and build it to NHRA Stock class blueprinted specs, special converter, 391 gears, etc.

I don't believe I have ever posted any pictures of this car on the internet before.

This was a two owner car with history back to the selling dealer, BCS, fender tag, Certicard, original engine, trans, rear end, paint, interior, 68K miles but needing resto. All available options for a 68 Hemi Charger except PW and rear speaker. The original owner added an AM/FM as soon as it became available in 1969.

The first pictures are right after I bought it and was stripping it to go to the body shop. The others after color change (I hated the original gold) and resto. As you can see, the original floors were perfect in this car.

The pictures of it on the trailer were as it was leaving with the new owner. I gave him the choice of the
15"X8" chrome road wheels or the original wheel cover which are very rare disc brake covers and he took the originals. I have the chrome road wheels on my six pack Bee now.

Wow nice charger, Someones going to have a good time.

How would you keep the tires quite on that sleeper? Very Nice:yes:

Slap me if I sound stupid but whats with the second stick on the floor?

That is the down rod that goes from the shifter to the transmission.

I couldn't have gotten rid of that car, there is just something about a `68 Charger that gets me every time, not to mention a Hemi!.

1. The shifter is the factory shifter and that is what they all look like under the console.

2. In hindsight (since I now want to get down to one street/strip car as in the 6 pack Bee) I probably should have not bought the 66 or the 69 and just kept the Charger. It is a great car, the turn off for me with it was the automatic.

Any way you can get it back???? What a great car - not only for the HEMI Charger part but the fact it was so complete and in good shape. If I find a cream puff 69 Charger in good shape - regardless of engine/tranny combo it will never leave my possession. Like Matt says, the 68 (and for me the 69) Chargers just do it!!

I noticed it has the 66 style wiper motor. What's up with that? My 68 RR has the later 3 spd one.

Also interesting that the AM/FM wasn't available in 68?? I had no idea.

Never noticed the wiper motor or know if what you say is correct as the Hemi cars all had 3 speed wipers. It is possible that it crapped out and the second owner found a 66-67 unit would fit.

I am planning to sell off much of my things as my plan is to move to Costa Rica within the next couple of years. I have real estate, vehicles, and just a lot of STUFF to sell off before that time and buying another car is not the direction i need to be going.

It seems obvious that the air grabber and HEMI cars had the 3 spd wiper motor because it doesn't stick out, thus allowing clearance for the air cleaner.

Costa Rica is quite a change I'd imagine. I know a couple of people who have land there and I think one lives there now. He told me about a hotel he stayed at that's built at the mouth of an active volcano. I've personally never been but I'm sure Tom Bodett will leave the lava flowing for me.

I may help relieve you of some HEMI engine parts if you have anything I need. Harmonic balancer and a 1966 intake with carbs and linkage.

I don't have much for extra Hemi parts. In fact, I have a Hemi choke somewhere that I was planning to put on Ebay but can't seem to lay my hands on it.

I would like to know where you are located and a list of things you want to sell?? OK?
