Was a Confederate Re-Enactor for 12 years before kids. The Regiment we portrayed was Co F (Davis Guards), 12th Reg. Georgia Vol. Infantry, Doles-Cook Brigade, Rhodes Division, 2nd Corp (Stonewall Jacksons), Army of Northern Virginia. This regiment participated in many of the battles during the war. At the end we surrendered only 5 Officers & 60 Enlisted. I participitated in many of the 130th & 135th Anniv's.
About 6 years ago I got into metal detecting old Colonial / 1800's cellar holes out in the woods that have been lost to time. I've pulled some really cool items, especially this 1663 1-Real Silver Cob, that was minted in Bolivia. A true piece of 8.
