I'm very proud. He just got a 4100 sq, foot luxury home that's about 6 years old. Mine MAY be bigger if you count the finished basement. He got his Mechanical Engineering degree, got an awesome job, and got married. I know his sq. ft doesn't count his walk-out basement because it's not finished. Remember these are Fking Colorado real estate prices. I love it when a plan comes together. He's 32 years old. Just as big of a car geek as any of us.

Sound like He was raised right.

I have some youngsters trying to get going on a house... it ain't pretty!! Luck and good kin go a long way

I'm sure his wife's new husband will enjoy it, speaking from experience.:popcorn2::lol:

The house? Meh.
My son bought a house with at better detached garage than me.
Previous owner was into Corvettes.
Three bays and a works shop. It's his third house.
We helped him with his first during "the great recession" when people couldn't give houses away.

Our boy is 33.
He and his wife have already traded up from an 1800 sf to a 3500 sf 2 story.

Our house is "only" 2000 sf but is on 1/2 acre with no HOA, where both of theirs have been on 1/4 or smaller.

Good for them, though.

He's an IT security guy for a bank, and she's a personnel director for the city.
They do have 2 kids.

I'm an IT guy in semi-early retirement. My wife is an LPN.
Our house will be paid off next month, 96 payments (8 years) early!

Tell him congrats and keep up the hard work.
I'm sure your pretty proud of him.

His first house was quite a bit smaller but they still made money on it in the 2 1/2 years they lived there. I think they had 5 acres. He said that no HOA stuff can be a problem of its own. He's been bringing all his stuff over here temporarily. I told him to stack all his stuff up to the ceiling. I don't care. You've already seen that big-a$$ python of his. I had to feed him the other night. He was crawling around looking for food. I had some kitchen tongs hold a warmed-up large rat. He flicked his tongue then bit it and wrapped three coils around it in under a second. It's too fast for your eyes to see it happen. No BS.
