Thanks! It might be a one time use tool as the hole tends to get misshapen as you hammer on it. Some nice dense hardwood would be a better choice than a regular 2x4. But, I only needed to get 2 bars out and have no plans to take out torsion bars in the near future!Great idea you can also cut out a V notch instead of a round hole if you can't do the round hole.
This is the one I made years agoThis worked great for me! I drilled a 1" hole in about a foot long 2×4 and a few holes for bolts perpendicular to that and cut the thing in half. Just fasten the thing to the torsion bar and hammer away! Simple, it works and most people would have the materials on hand.
