sorry for you and your wife loss will keep you in our prayers
On Tuesday the 18th at around 19:30 my wife's brother was walking back to his residence when he was struck by a woman in a van. He sustained major internal injuries as well as a depressed skull fracture. His past was not any better than most of ours but he was making strides to better himself and getting his act together. The doctors and neurosurgeons did not give him a good chance of surviving and if he did, he would've been in a vegetative state. The machine was the only thing keeping him alive. The wife and I arrived at about 21:45 after I called her work and she stopped by to pick me up. After all the family members talked with the doctors and said their goodbye's, my wife's dad had to make the hardest decision a father can make. To take him off life support. He was pronounced dead 2 minutes later. I was glad that I was home for my time off to be there to support my wife. He was 38 and had a 10 year old daughter.
I'm sure a few of us (well at least I am) are curious to know is there any indication as to why or how the woman struck her brother? Is she facing any legal consequences?
