I was just contacted by the Jacksonville Museum of Science and History. They are planning a six-month exhibit of movies that have been made in Jacksonville, FL and they found out about the Creature From The Black Lagoon we made for our Halloween displays and they want to borrow him to anchor their 50's and 60's horror and sci-fi area of the exhibit. The Revenge of the Creature was shot in St. Augustine, Green Cove Springs, and Jacksonville, and the museum is actually located adjacent to where the Lobster House, the restaurant the Creature attacks in the film, stood before it burned down in the 1960s.

I told them we would miss him at Halloween, but anything that helps excite folks about monster movies is fine by me and we would be glad to let them have him for the exhibit.

So our humble Halloween prop will now be a certified museum piece. :)

Congratulations
And, as a kid in the late 50's early 60's that creature of the Black Lagoon was scary

I thought it was Obama with a beard. Let's hope he ends up in a museum too....

Hey Bru!
Who signed the creature?
Whose signature is that on his abdomen"
That's Ricou Browning's autograph. He played the Creature in all the underwater scenes of all three films. I first met him at a convention in Orlando a few years back. I was waiting forever in a line to get his autograph and my knees were killing me. He saw me and sent his daughter over to get me and bring me to the front of the line. She came over and asked if my knees were bothering me, and I said yes. She said Ricou has troubles with his knees, and recognized the look on my face, and told her to come get me. :)

A year later, he and his daughter came to a comic and toy collector's show here in Jacksonville, and that's when we took our Creature over to get signed. He and his daughter remembered me from Orlando, and I told them if they came up for another show they were welcome to use our prop as a backdrop, and when they came back a year later the show's producer contacted me to ask if they could use the prop and we took him over. The show's producer was the one the museum contacted to see if he might know anyone who had some Creature memorabilia they could use in the exhibit and that's how they got a hold of me. :)
