I cant figure out what goes through this factory hole in my firewall. I've seen a single wire with large grommet on other B-bodies at car shows. I asked the owners but they didn't have a clue where it went or what it did. They must've bought not built. Any help would help. Thanks!

But should have been on the dimple just to the right of the hole. Looks like the same person drilled mine....in the wrong place.

Neither my 66 or 67 have that hole so I would guess it was added by a previous owner.

I am going to try to post a picture of our unmolested 67 Charger that we bought in 1970. Instead I am trying send pictures from our Charger in the garage. I checked pictures of 8 of our 66-7’s. They all have that hole.
The wires go to the forward light harness, and connect to the light harness, with the whitish connector this under the battery tray.

Normally a factory hole would have been made on the dimple to the right.

What diameter is it?

Your hole is higher than the hole in the blue Coronet RT. The blue car has the hole on the same level amd to the left of the dimple.

Your green Charger has it higher and to th left of the dimple.

Only the Charger uses the hole you have.
