Spent most of the day replacing four of my freeze plugs.

I went to town yesterday to pick up some oil and filter. I left a coupon in the car (SSP) and had to go out to get it and lo and behold a green trail 10' long from the passenger side. I told Parts Guy that I needed a core plug and he gave me one 1-41/64" plug, which is what he pulled up on the Parts 'Puter.

After looking the block over I went back and bought 3 more 1-41/64" plugs. (I can only get to 4 of the plugs)

I'm sure you can see where this is going, so I'll get to the point. I finally bought the right plugs and got them put in. 2 brass, 2 steel. One of the brass ones is leaking. It was the most difficult one to get back in as the exhaust prevents beating on it in a straight line.

Does anyone think it would help to drop the exhaust and beat on it some more, or do I just replace it again after dropping the exhaust?

If you're going to bother to pull the manifold, I'd replace the plug altogether. But I suppose it depends on how much trouble you're willing to go through if you just slap the old one around some and it still leaks. If you do replace it, make sure the hole is clean and dry and be sure to use sealer on the new plug.

How bad is it leaking? And is it in danger of popping out if the pressure gets too high? If it's a small annoying leak and securely installed you might throw some bars leaks at it.
