I replaced my ignition switch, but am having a crappy connection. The harness side connector is a little distorted from getting hot due to the short in the old switch. I don't want to just hard splice it together. Anyone know where I can get a new connector and some pins?

If we are talking about 71 and lates setup that's not really a short, but excesive load. I guess red wire.

Pins are Molex kind they should be somewhow easy to find at a electronic shop. At least smaller ones like the used tail lights harness on trunk are.

Now the plug... never have found one. I remember somebody talked about a source for them, but can't recall where.

maybe Ron Francis could provide those separatelly without sell a full underdash harness ?

Ah yes...it occurred in my 71 while attempting to start for the first time after winter with apparently a less than stellar battery. And also yes...red wire.

ok, the burn spot uses to be due excesive loads such as several accesories attached to the circuits &/or bad connections ( loosen terminals )
