Need a source for a Temperature gauge Sender unit

Hi guys, my buddy Mowpar needs a replacement Temperature gauge Sender unit for his 65 Belvedere.
It looks like the one on his pump is off a later model engine - 68-74 we think. Does anyone know who sells the correct sender unit for this year? It needs to match the gauge. He has tested the gauge and sender unit, and also taken readings from a digital temperature gun, and gets a different reading. Engine runs a good temperature, but the gauge is way out - even though it rises and falls through the scale.

My 65 works with a Napa MPE TS6178SB if its an air car ECH TS6707 different top connector

I always use the better line sold by NAPA. Eichlen? or something like that.

Got mine from Advance Auto. If i remember right there are two different thread sizes or connector types.
