I am having fits with my 66 charger driver side window and wing window hardware.
seems the clips have collapsed in the glide of the wing window and I cant get the plastic rivet to stay in place where it keeps the window on the saddle of the crank.

Any help is appreciated, not sure if i am installing the rivet correctly but it doesn't matter if i cant keep the window fastened into the wing window glide.

any thoughts ?

I recently was having fits keeping the plastic "rivet" in my window where it attaches to the "saddle". It kept popping off the track. Then I realized that the "rivet" is actually two pieces and I only had one piece. When the rivet goes through the glass/saddle & the "fingers" of the rivet spread out on the other side of the glass/saddle there's a little plastic "pin" that goes inside those fingers & holds them apart (& the window in). Are you missing that pin like me?

Apparently so
So it get pushed into the center of the rivet causing it to expand?
I bought the kit but there was nothing resembling this

Here's what the rivet should look like.

You break off the piece on the left side (little pin), insert the rivet through the glass/saddle & then shove that little pin between the "fingers" from the right side (as shown in the picture). That way the rivet can't back out.

When I got my "window kit" I didn't notice that my rivet was missing that "little pin". Another member here (69bfan) hooked me up with another rivet (with the pin) and it worked like a charm.

Oh man I swear it's hard enough working on these cars, but when the new parts are incomplete it doesn't help.
That's why I go drink and never finish what I started

Any thoughts on the wing window
I am sending pics at the request of mccoy mail

Do you happen to have a pic of the pin??
