Hello, I have attached a pic of my current balancer. Is this a stock unit and if so, what are the dimensions? If I deviate from the current dimensions, what sort if issues could I run into? I would also like to get some pulleys from 440 source but they say they are underdrive. Will this cause overheating/charging issues? Also, what would be a good balancer to get? I have a 440HP motor with forged crank.

Thanks,
Don

Be aware of the bolt pattern on your crank pulley before purchasing a new balancer - their not all the same. Also read the fine print if purchasing a new pulley because some are only rated to a certain RPM, after that it's your liability if the stacked pulleys separate. If the max RPM is not stated on the website or in the catalogue call in person to find out. This is not an issue with machined pulleys by popular manufacturers. It would be better to stay with OE sized pulleys as a lot of engineering went into the final conclusion of sizing. If you want to lessen the load caused by accessories "upsize" the alternator and power steering pump pulleys - they're cheap and readily available but I'd definitely leave the ratio between the crank and water pump pulley as is.
