WTB Need Distributor for 1970 440/6 Four Speed Car

I need the correct original distributor for a 1970 440/6 four speed car as described in this thread, http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/mopar...-Rebuild-Who-Can-Do-a-Rebuild-Photos-Included

I have a regular 440 four barrel distributor and an Accel distributor for a partial trade. Both need a full rebuild, although the Accel is working in the car now. A photo of it is in the thread above.

Good luck with that, they are out there but I gave up some time ago, my six bbl had a prestolite dual point when I got it but the numbers on it say it's for a 1970 hemi automatic and it's in mint condition, previous owner says it was never replaced so Mabee factory mistake, who knows.

You could use a 440 dual point dizzy & proper solenoid retard...have a tag made to look original....

I recently saw one listed on C.L. here in So. Cal. It was brand new old stock and still had the box. The guy was asking $800. I don't see the ad at present, either expired or sold. I'll keep my eye out for you.

No solenoid retard on the correct distributor, just a dual point prestolite.
Pops is right that you can have a tag made, they are close to correct but you can tell they are reproductions.
This is what it should look like, the correct number your looking for is 3438314.

Thank you, gentlemen. I'm here in Florida and I will start looking for this at swap meets, CraigsList, and E-Bay. Yes, 440+6 is correct, easier to find a look-a-like and get a tag made.
