Both of my 68 Coronets are missing a dash bezel. My R/T's dash had been previously molested by the p.o. so that came as no surprise. The 440 model, 4 door parts car however looked like it hadn't been messed with, and it too had no bezel. While looking through the 68 Parts Catalogue. I found the picture of the exploded dash panel, which clearly shows the bezel (8-37-90)...
From there I went to the section covering that number range which led me to this...
And here is where I start getting a little perplexed. There appear to be multiple numbers that could be applicable to my R/T (not counting the one for RHD). They are 2857 465, 2857 664, and 2857 665. My car was an AC car so 2857 665 seems most relevant to my application. That brings up a couple of questions.
(1) What would be the differences between the three numbers I listed above. I suspect there aren't any, but I don't understand why the need for three numbers if so.
(2) To the right of the part number are several vertical columns with either a number or a - in the column after each part number. I can't find what each of the columns, and the inserted number represents. I suspect the breakdown is in the book somewhere, but I can't find it. Below are the column headings.
I see that there is a reproduction bezel available, but I don't want to shell out the money if it is a different part (in appearance) from whatever it is I am missing. I am sure I am overthinking this, but it bugs me not understanding what I am looking at in the catalogue.
Thanks
