Need help identifying block.

My book calls it a 1964-1965, 1966-1971 426 Hemi block. Lucky you...:headbang:

Is the distributor area rounded OR squared ?


rounded=1964-65 race hemi.. $$$$$$$$

squared= 1966-71 street hemi.

Thanks guys, my dad said its a 70 HEMI. I just wanted to verify. It's been in my dad's garage next to his 1970 Challenger R/T SE. If I can ever get him to sell me the Challenger I'm gonna put it in the R/T. If not it's going in the Coronet. That is if it's still salvageable. I need to take it to the machine shop and get it cleaned up.

Thanks guys, my dad said its a 70 HEMI.

What's the stamping on the top pad?
What's the VIN on the passenger's side pad? That may help determine what it came from.
