Need input about a potential car trade deal

i m h F o? lmao potty mouth

I personally love the 70 and am still kicking myself in the balls to this day for passing on one. I love my 69 RR but have always know that my stable will house a hemi car and a 70 RR air grabber car. real A12 worth more than a 70 air grabber? probably yes. but a not numbers matching, needs paint and whatever else worth more than a numbers matching 70 440+6, 4 speed dana car with a functional air grabber? no freaking way man pass that pipe I need a hit.

First how are you sure it is real? Does the fender tag match the hidden numbers? If this is correct I think it is a no brainer. Go for a trade deal.

Maybe the other guys are right. I am probably not looking at it squarely because I already have my grail. IMO I just don't like 66 Chargers.

Meep! You forgot man - your avatar used to read "HEMI". Just sayin'!

All of your mopars are cool in my opinion, but here's my 2 cents:

Your '66 Charger - It's Red. It's got a HEMI. It's a 4-speed. Man oh man, whether you like the body style as well as the '68/'69 to me seems beside the point, especially since you've already got a '69RR and '68RR.

The A12 sounds awesome, but from what I'm reading, there is a lot more work to do to that "A12" to get it where you want it than your '66 Charger. And you have all of your other car projects running in parallel.

So my question is, why are you considering this deal? Do you really want to get rid of the '66 Charger in the next year and are afraid of passing up this "trade"? Or are you really wanting an A12? You must not be short on cash or you wouldn't be considering the trade, which means you can wait longer for the '66 Charger to sell and bankroll the proceeds when it does to fund your other car projects. Even though the A12 would move quicker should you choose to sell one or the other in the future, I bet that Red Hemi 4-speed '66 will not be hard to unload to the right buyer and in the meantime you've got it in your collection.

My vote is to keep the '66 Hemi Charger.

getting rid of a HEMI Charger just to match your name aint a very smart thing to do. altho, like you...the 1st generation chargers just dont "do it" for me like a 69 or 70 road runner does.....id keep the charger. you already have what most of us want.....just change your name instead .

Well, that's not the actual reason. It was just a play on words.

What do you mean used to say 426 hemi? That's the badge on the 66 Bel.

Very true that A12 needs work, but it's not a piece of crap. Still, I'm not rushing off to get the deal done so clearly I have reservations about that. The Charger at present is the nicest car in my fleet and as I said I won't mind a bit if I get stuck with it. My original intent was to sell the 66 ASAP but that's not how things worked out so I decided to register and insure it and drive the wheels off it.

That Bee makes that A12 RR look like a parts car, especially since they are priced the same!! Even though the Bee is a bench seat auto and the RR is buckets and a 4 spd I would still have a hard time justifying getting the RR over that Bee.

Non numbers matching engine and tranny and needs 'work'? 50K seems a little high to me. I found an A12 four speed Bee in similarly described condition for $40K and passed.

And I am not laboring over a potential trade deal for one of those!!!

LMAO, I wouldn't think so either...

Amen to that brother... but theres nothen' like a 4 speed & dana 60 440/6bbl/six pack A12 car in either body style... good luck Meeps, with what ever you decide, I know you will do the correct thing for you...

my .02 Meeps.... A-12!!!! i know da charger is pretty rare, and it has that magical hemi, but man, a 440 6-pack 4-speed that is heaven in mechanical form.

BUT and its the big BUT (not like Rita and her big olde butt lol) at the right price. i agree with 69Coronetrt, 50g's seems a bit high for a car needing that much work and with a NOM motor.
