Need Paint Advice for a Ramcharger Hood

I have a "power bulge" hood on my 69 Coronet. However, I like the ramcharger hood better. So, I bought a flat hood, pre-cut for the scoops, and some ramcharger scoops and the air box to replace it the existing hood. I will be taking the hood and scoops to a local shop for painting.

So, my question is, how to proceed? Do I get them painted separately then install the scoops or after installing the scoops. The air box gets installed last, I figured that much out myself.

How have you guys done it?

Hope you cut the hole in the hood offset where the center of the engine is if it's going to stick up higher. Some of us learned that the hard way

It's a ramcharger hood having dual scoops. No hole in the center.

Anyone know the correct drill size for the drilling of the holes for the ramcharger unit's screws and clips on the underside hood framing ? I am guessing 5/16 ?

Here is a template Partsmix sells for $35. I have bought parts from them at good prices and fast shipping. I do not know anything about the template other than what is on their website. The Ramman has a template for $110 on ebay. The photo shows the hole size of 1/2". I bought my flat hood pre-cut and drilled and the hole size is 1/2".

Does the molding on the front of the hood get painted before screwing it to the hood? The one that's on the power bulge hood on the car now looks like it was screwed on then painted.

we painted it all before putting it on the hood and the hood was painted the color of the rest of the car before we put on the hood .
