Reading in between the lines I would say Harmonic Balancer.

ok, back together. not sure, but the floats weren't quite right, and I may have mixed up the ball bearings. Just need to install it and route the vacuum lines.

Well, that didn't fix it completely. It does idle nicely, but still bogs down on acceleration like it's getting too much fuel.

I'm wondering if it's an ignition issue. Maybe the vacuum advance is not working?

NO......its not an ignition system issue....or a vacuum leak....the carb just needs to be "dialed in".....just takes a little adjustment to find the sweet spot......but it could be the left rear tire's valve stem cap not torqued correctly......
