Have to small of amp alt in my stroker now just figured this out lol...so I want to get a new 100 amp alt and the one I am looking at has a regulator built on the back and is a one wire would this be correct? The 383 was stock alt was a one wire but I don't know if the reg was internal or external. The 440 has a two wire now with I guess a reg internal?

Need help, looking at getting a tuff stuff brand 100 amp one wire with a reg built on the back from summit.

Forgot to mention I have the MSD 6AL system. resistor is bypassed. I see what I think is the old regulator on the fire wall above the old resistor but can't remember checking to see if it is hooked in.

So the original regulator on the fire wall should be removed? I did't realize that older or original alternators don't charge while engine is at idle. Was wondering why my battery kept dying. I got a new alternator from 440source thinking it was good and heavy duty but turns out its just a stock non a/c replacement more like 35-40 amps is all and won't charge at idle oh well anyone need this alt?

Yup,another set of emty holes in thr firewall:glasses10:Keep an eye on The pulley ratios for alternator & water pump:blob1:
