Hello, Folks. New to this forum. Wondering if you can help me with a quick quesiton - 69 Coronet R/T 440, auto.

Does it matter which way the harness goes on the neutral safety switch? Seems like it could go either way.

Thanks!

I don't believe it matters cause the one in the middle is the wire for the starter cut-off. Then there is one wire that is for backup lights and I can't remember the other but the power feed is the same for those.

welcome to FBBO it doesn't matter center is neutral safety switch two outside are back up lite

Hey, Thanks! I appreciate the quick responses. Now if I can just figure out how to get the dang thing onto the switch! Does not seem to want to go on...

Yep 2 outer wires are for back lights switching positive 12v the middle is the NSS cutoff from the starter relay. NSS puts a neg on it when in park or neutral. if not then is an open circuit and your starter relay will not work.

This all assuming you have the 3 wire switch and harness? Have heard of rebuilt 727's with 68 and earlier NSS which are 2 pin only.
