New 2 Door Dodger Charger, Unfortunately An EV.

I never considered those cars to be Chargers, they were just rebadged Omni's! They make good racecars though!
And to make matters worse and rub salt in the wounds they badged some as Shelby Chargers.

I know someone who traded in a V code
shaker hood Challenger R/T for one of those. He shall remain nameless to prevent him being banned from the forum! Lol
It wasn't me!!!

He starts talking about dealer mark-up at around the 7:53 mark.

Report: all electric cars in the US to be retrofitted with V8s

Unused batteries will be repurposed into massive monster truck ramps

Here’s TopGear.com’s roving correspondent, Cory Spondent, with his mostly incorrect exclusives from the world of motoring

Electric cars in the US will soon be retrofitted with big, thirsty and hugely powerful V8 engines, according to multiple sources close to the US auto industry.

Every single electric car currently in circulation in North America will be subject to a recall so that their batteries and e-motors can be swapped out for a giant eight-cylinder combustion engine.

And it is understood the unused and unwanted battery packs will be used to build giant ramps for monster trucks.

“We’re going to fix everything about electric cars, and the reason is because they’re all electric,” an unnamed source close to the project said.
“Yes, putting massive V8s into three million or so electric cars isn’t going to be easy, but we’ll do it for the American people. We’ll deliver strong, safe and hugely potent eight-cylinder drivetrains into even the most humdrum of EVs.

“We’re going to lead the greatest V8 comeback in American history.”

When pushed on the logistics of recalling over three million electric cars, the costs of recontinuing abandoned V8 engine programmes, and the labour required to swap them all around, a source simply said: “It’ll be beautiful. Big V8. The biggest there’s ever been. So big.

“Ramps. Beautiful ramps.”

...... the net is now chock full of new engine rumors for the Charger. EVs are history.

Supposedly the latest inside scoop says,Stellantis engineers were told to make the 6.4 392 Hemi fit into the new Charger body.

That may be a main ingredient that may save the company. MAY. My degree is not economics or marketing, but I would think a reliable mid-size truck WiTHOUT all the techno-gadgets, pared down to simple functionality, with style, would sell like hotcakes. I DON'T NEED A CAR OR TRUCK TO SOUND ALARMS AND BELLS TO TELL ME MY EYEBALLS ARE NOT LOOKING STRAIGHT !!

That would be awesome. I actually dig the new Charger body and styling cues reminiscent of the original 2nd-gen Chargers. Trashing that EV motor and silly canned engine sounds would be great.

The EV's are not going to be a big hit with the general public. They'll be sitting on the lots with the rest of the EV's..... unable to sell.

Hard to believe. CAFE and gas guzzler and etc.

I'd agree. Then again, you can still buy a 2025 Durango SRT with the supercharged hellcat engine, so who knows.
At what, 130k?!?
I saw a Durango wanna-be 392 srt at a dealer here, sticker was high side of 95k. Sorry, no...... by at least 20k.
