I recently came across a complete 5.9l engine (including wiring harness and everything) off a 99 Durango, I have a '72 charger with a '74 360 and 727. Would this new 360 bolt in? What all would I have to change out? Thanks!

yes it will bolt in, the magnum motors were still cast with motor mount bosses, so just swap out your 360's mounts/brackets and swap out your current oil pan/pickup from your 72 onto the magnum motor.

after that it is simply putting on a 4bbl magnum motor intake and getting rid of the EFI computer stuff. You see, if you want to keep the EFI, you will need to get your computer reprogrammed since it is setup for a OD transmission (or find a way to bypass that telemetry it is expecting to receive from the transmission...the 99's trans was a 42RE or a 46RE, e.g. electronic).

Secondly, you will need to buy a EFI fuel pump rated for the range of volume/psi that the magnum's EFI system would require to work appropriately.

There is quite a bit left to go over, but I would just trash the EFI and go carbureted, it will make it so much easier.

5.9 durango into 72 Charger

:headbang:the fuel injection set up for your Dodge is expensive you will be into 1000.00$ of bucks by the time you get your harness rearranged ,pc flashed .The tranns is a little tricky for the speedo you can get the adapter to give the pc its signal . If you want fuel injection as bad as i want it MSD HAS A SWEET SET UP but it comes with evertything needed to have a complete turn key in no time ..this is only if you are mechanically inclined to handle the electricial part . the Fast fuel injection kit no matter what way you cut it it is 2 k and it comes with everything . I can tell you this using the original wirng and parts from a 99 durango ,then do you know if the injectors and evertything is up to snuff .I did my homework and i am saving for the fuelly set up .
