I just ordered and got my new alter. for my 70 383 RR, the new one had a 2 3/8" pulley on it and the new one has a 3" on it. Is this going to hurt any thing? It shows to be working good. Which one is correct? Thanks Ronnie

Sorry about that, the old one had the 2 3/8 and the new was 3" Ronnie

The one with the larger diameter pulley will rotate at a slower speed. This might cause a lower charging rate when the engine is idling compared to your original alt.

Stock ALT with dual AC pulley. Mine would not charge at idle I upgraded to a Tuff Stuff one wire internal regulator. works great now. I have two stock ALT'S one dual pulley one single from 440source.

the new is charging and it is a 60 amp so i don't think I'll have any problems out of it. If I have to I'll take it and get the pulley swapped out on them. I was just wondering which one is more correct for my 70 RR. Ronnie
