New at Vans Auto 68-70 B-Body Sending units

I'm sure they will just toss the other 500 senders in stock.
Vans has some decent parts but have been told for years their senders are crap like all the rest but they kept on shipping them out.

I've gone to a Tanks Inc tank & one of their floatless senders.... Got them on two cars & they are both pretty accurate... But I still have a problem with them.... They seem to be attracted to the Empty side of the scale.... I keep adding fuel but they still insist on pointing at E.... Maybe I need to weigh my foot....

Vans-Auto one, I can see the tag it says "Made in Tiawan",
you also can see the 'Chinese scribbling' too, another words Chinese-Taipe
I bought one for each from Mancini Racing, Flint Michigan
for my 2 (then) 68 RRs
some 15+ years ago, it's not too bad
available in 5/16" 3/8" & 1/2", has either a 1/4" or 5/16" return nipple too,
for a vapor return or a #4 bypass line/with a clamp, for a bypass regulator
is what I use it for
no idea where they were made
I don't think it was China, I ask all the time before I buy anything
I don't buy made in China stuff, if I can knowingly help it
it came with a sock too,
1st thing I did;
I put 5 US gals out of a trusted fuel jug, in it,
my OE gauge read like barely over 1/8th tank (from real empty)
there's a 1-1/2 gal 'reserve', figured in, so it was pretty close
I put 19 gals in it total, was showing barely over full, so a lil' off
stainless collar, better seal, IIRC a bit thicker too
proper tool for the sending unit collar
stainless ground strap
a slightly thicker gasket, was needed
