Well our long awaited cross ram maxed wedge (I feel like I can say that) has finally arrived, been installed and tested. Now we need to tune our entire chassis to work with the extra power. We layed a few 1/8 mile passes down at our little track that is situated at a nosebleed elevation of 4500' above sea level, so times are a bit quirky. We were also suffering with our nostalgia pie crust slicks and super heavy steel wheels which are now off the car in favor of Hoosier 29/10.5Ws and Torque Thrusts. Our best 60' was 1.63ish and our best e.t. was 7.42. I'm feeling like we shouldn't have too much trouble finding high 6s with this motor and some sciencing out with our archaic chassis set-up. Our next race is in Mission, B.C. that boasts a proper 1/4, has legendary traction and sits at a mere 24' above sea level. It's pretty much under water.

sound s great, keep us posted, looks great too, with a little tuning it will be on the right track & et's, in no time

Just got in from the garage, damn this car is fun to work on. Even a nightmare job like hot lashing your valves with a cross ram can be made enjoyable and I'm barely even drunk. I also took an inch off the bottom of the v-stacks shown in the image above so they will clear under hood. Also having the front leaf shackles located forward was chewing through bushings so we just installed some polyurethane bushings that should keep things a little tighter. We're slowly dialing in this package as a functioning race car, I'll try to do more forum updates as we progress. Chassis tuning is a bit limited considering that it's pretty much a brick but I think we will be installing mono leafs and Cal Traks in the off season. We had them on our old car and I really dug how they performed.

Eng looks great ! Ron
