New Challenger GT 305 HP V6 AWD

When it comes time for me to get a new family sedan, an AWD Charger may be the way to go. That is if they are still around at that time.
Here ya go RC, come on treat the Mrs right!!
Our (hers) 2014 AWD Charger- gets 23 mpg in town, honest 32 highway, 305 hp.
It's no Hellcat, but no slouch.
According to the Mrs, best part is the auto heated steering wheel n bun warmers.

Just cant get wet over v6's. Dont care for the sound. My Brother leased a 300 hp v6 CTS a few years back & it was a fast bastard......but it was a v6.....jeez just go the route & tack on the two extra cylinders.
id rather straight sixes over v sixes.

I have to agree with you. I absolutely love my 2012 Mustang V6 (305HP). I can't find a fault with the car whatsoever other than I wish it sounded like a V8.

The Hellcat is spec'd to weigh 4450 lbs. My 2015 Challenger R/T 5.7 is 4200. I doubt the V6 cars are 4700 lbs even with AWD.
Yeah it's only 3700-4200#'s depending on options, every bit of 4000#'s
my sister has every option other than the Hemi V8 & 2016 no AWD
according to spec.'s I read on Google it says the 2017 AWD is 4235#'s
not sure how optioned out that curb weight is...
So the AWD isn't adding much weight over the V8 or the V6 even in RWD
according to what I just read on Google search

To my surprise it's lighter & quicker than I figured,
fast or faster than the previous Hemi versions were too

allegedly the 3.6ltr V6 is a lighter version 94#'s
lighter than the 3.7ltr or 42#'s lighter than the 3.5ltr versions
according to http://www.pentastars.com/

The 3.6 is totally different than the 3.7.

It's a MUCH better motor.

I agree about the net HP numbers, even the 5.9 Magnum has basically the same or better net numbers than any classic stock motor except a 440.

I heard the AWD with the Hemi is making a comeback in 2018.

We have a '15 Challenger SXT with the 3.6. Great car. Plenty powerful. Too many people focus on that it's "just a V6" and forget that its net horsepower rating pretty much matches that of a 383HP's gross HP rating. We also have a '15 Scat Pack, but get more use out of the SXT.

Old post, but i have been thinking of trading my 2011 Dodge Charger RT, for a pre owned 2023 Dodge Challenger. The Challenger is F8 green with the blackout package. I guess I'm not caring about being fast anymore, i don't know if i will regret the decision by hitting the gas once in a while.

My wife has a 22 Charger GT and its a nice car. It's no V8 but it's no slouch either. Well balanced. She is happy with it.

Wife has the first '17 GT off the line for Canada. You'd have to pry it from her cold dead hands.
