But at 62 not new to Mopars or the automotive hobby. I've barely touched my Superbee project for 11 or 12 years now, it got 'shelved' back then when my wife became ill (ulcerative colitis) and quit working and as a guy who participated in this somewhat expensive hobby I found myself just happy to keep my household running and covering basic expenses like the mortgage and groceries. Nancy is well these days and is actually pushing me to work on the car and get it at least driveable. Not arguing with her about it but there are a few financial priorities still ahead of the car but as time allows I plan to get back into it.
My '70 6V Superbee was a basket case when I bought it, but that was the only kind of 6V car I was going to be able to afford as I am a real low budget operation. I have shelled out very little money to others on this project so far, completing all the metal replacement needed and body work etc myself. It hemi orange with black C stripe and black bucket interior, disc brakes and automatic transmission with a 3.23 axle. No numbers matching anything LOL. Probably my favorite feature about the car is the V1G vinyl roof with is the Gatorgrain option for 1970. I won an ebay auction years ago for an NOS top, it is still safely stored in the box that it was shipped to me in. Once back onto the project it won't be long till it is time to install that.
So in the interest of not being too wordy, all for now.
