well, I haven't tracked down Vilio and talked to him in person yet but I know his real name now and have a vaugue understanding of where he may be living. I'll shoot you a PM

I think he's in Ohio now.

I talked to a guy in titonka IA from Hamilton autobody that had a hand in the body work & repaint. He said Vilio wopuld come in after they were done & do his thing.

Sure would be nice if the stock tach was good. I'll probably end up hangin a mini tach off the steering post.

I know I've been talking about going with the original T7 bronze but....

Greetings Dave from a fellow Minnesotan! I remember in the early 80's (maybe earlier) Vilio did a huge amount of murals and paint on side panels of pro stock tractor pullers. Think he even called himself the "Pullers painter".

Cool car, would be cool to keep the murals, but its your car, do it up how you like it!

I heard he did a lot of work on semi trucks too.

Are you a tractor puller?

I used to pull in local antique pulls with my Allis WD45.

I even went through the engine just a couple years ago & bumped up the compression for more power, poor old girl just sits in the weeds now.

Yeah, think I've seen some of his semi stuff as well.

Yes I pull, just antique stuff, its all I can afford and around here there isn't much for pulls for the newer hot farm tractors.
I pull a '52 JD G and a '57 720 diesel, mostly pull the 720 now. The G used to be pretty competitive but in the past years the competition has gotten tough in the 6500lb class. I got a 720 and pull from 8500 to 10500lbs now. Just had the G to a pull this past weekend.
Pulled a WD45 huh? You are one of the smart guys, pull light and get to the beer drinking quicker! I gotta wait around all day to start.
Where you located? I'm down south along I-90, between Blue Earth and Albert Lea.

I'm way up by lake of the woods. have you ever heard of an old JD puller named Don Dufner?

He's with a group called northern pullers. I try to keep my membership current even though I don't pull enough to justify it.

My finest amerature pulling moment was when I beat Don Dufner on a sandy track in Badger MN. LOL! (I'm of course failing to mention all the times that Mr Dufner has outpulled me :) )

I usually start in 4500 & I pull up into the 6000-6500 just to keep those guys company if their weight class is low on hooks.

Often times that's where I clean up, is in 6000+

The Allis looks silly with 2000lbs of weights hanging off it but I can ballance her out good that way, really plant the tires.

Have heard of Don Dufner, I've been on that clubs site and saw his tractor. After seeing that I remember seeing it a long time ago at a Farmfest pull. Would like to visit his place, I hear he has a large collection of Deere 2 cylinder tractors and parts.
A few years back my brothers and I went up to Paynesville to a salvage yard that was going out of business. Don was the owners brother in law, he said Don hauled Deere parts out be the truck load for a week straight. Needless to say he had all the good stuff!
6500 is quite heavy for a poor old WD45! It must be more than just stock WD, most down here run out of power at 5500...but then we have some pretty tight tracks down here.

well I'd power out on a tight track.

Gpuller what's your mopar habbit?

got a B-body you toy with?

I have a '66 Charger that I play with. Nothing special, original paint and some rust. Has a pretty good running 440 with auto.
Also have a '74 W300 383 4spd that my dad bought new that is a project waiting to happen (someday)
