Hi everyone,

I have been lurking here for a couple of Months, and finally decided to join. I bought my first car at age 17, a 1964 Dodge Polara with a 318 Poly and a Pushbuttons, a 4 door with Air Conditioning an AM Radio.

The car had sat in a field for years before being drug in and worked on by an old timer. He sold me the car because his wife "didn't like the color" and I bought it having no working knowledge of cars at all.

I spent a ton of money, for a teenager, fighting with mechanical problems. I had to replace the heater core within 2 days of buying the car, also had a gas tank full of mud that needed taken out. I paid a shop to rebuild the front suspension and had an axle replaced among other things. Got ripped of royally by the shop doing most of the work sadly, and finally traded the car in due to needing reliable transportation.

Anyway, I am older and wiser now (I think) and am looking for another B Body. I am really leaning towards another 64 Polara if I can find one cheap and non-rustbucket, but I like almost everything. Almost bought a 64 Dodge 440 a couple months ago, but the guy sounded flakey on the phone and had an out of state title that he hadn't ever gotten transferred correctly, so I passed.

I am a computer guy by trade, and was a electric wheelchair technician for a while. I am pretty comfortable with electronics and mechanical stuff, but hope to build my automotive skills with a project car.

Welcome Rocky from another krafty Kansan!
I've never talked to these guys but if you search on Craigslist mopar under Kansas City section and there's somebody in Overbrook that had a 64 Savoy 2 door ex highway patrol car. He's had quite a few interesting cars over the past few months, maybe somebody on here has dealt with him before?

Good luck in your search!

Cole

Welcome Rocky-Hope you find what your looking for ...or somthing better

Thanks for the welcome guys.

-Cole , I have seen the add for that ex-highway patrol car, I have noticed what seems like a lot of old mopars for sale in Overbrook. Not sure if they are all related to the same guy or just a coincidence.

There is also a Mopar shop down the Burlingame, but his prices are a bit rich for me. He has some nice cars on his website though, his name is "The Mopar Dude".

Welcome to the board, Rocky. I'm from wichita.
