Hello all! Been stalking this site for some time now and finally decided it was time to jump in. Im an Indy resident, love all performance cars of all makes and models but am especially into muscle. I love all muscle but my prefference lies with Mopars and the lesser known GM brands like Buick and Olds (whats a Ford?). Ive been trying to jump into the Mopar game now for a while, mainly looking for a 70 Roadrunner, GTX, or Charger and who knows, maybe one of you can help me find it haha. Im a big advocate of E85, i have done tons and tons of research on the subject so if anyone has any questions or suggestions on that subject feel free to ask and i'll be happy to help as much as possible. Well, happy to be here, hope to see more of you guys in the future! :)

Wanted to add a little more background info. I myself have not owned a Mopar yet but am very enthusiastic about jumping into the game. My uncle owned a 69 Barracuda Formula-S 340 4-speed car back in the day and never has enough to say about that car. Lots of stories about the mods done to it, how amazing the performance was, and the off-the-wall stories that only come with being a young kid piloting a 340 cubic inch rocket haha. Unfortunately the car was stolen and stripped :-( but him and i share a common interest in getting into an A-body so hopefully that can lessen the pain a bit in the near future. Really into 70 Roadrunners and 69 Super bees ;-)

Other than that my entire family has been a muscle car family. My other uncle owned a 67 Impala SS-327 (love that car), yet another on the other side of the family owned a 79 Bandit Trans Am, my mother owned a 69 Skylark and a 67 RS Camaro, father owned a 70 Cougar XR7 (bleh) and now has an 81 Bandit Turbo Trans Am (its a turd, but its cool as hell! haha), my brother has owned a few 3rd gen Firebirds and Camaros and i am currently sporting a factory correct and fully documented black on black 88 Iroc with original 350/auto, T-tops, 9-bolt, 4-wheel disc, fully loaded car. Its fun but im hoping to use it as a daily driver while i get my real dream rolling which again is a 69/70 A-body. I have one buddy who is big into F-bodies and has my exact Iroc but in 305/5-speed and another buddy i like to cruise with who has a really mean 06 Cobalt SS (supercharged). That car has given me quite a bit more respect for tuners since hes owned it, and even better its domestic and supercharged so honestly its pretty acceptable for a tuner car. That same buddy also drives a 72 SS-454 Chevelle thats loads of fun and a really beautiful car. Took it on a roadtrip from Indy to Louisville and back with a little under a tank of gas. Not bad for it being a "gas guzzling big block". On paper these cars seem terrible to drive, but in the real world, its typically not as bad as most would lead you to believe.

So thats a bit more about me! Looking forward to getting to know you :)

Thanks! Looking forward to getting a little deeper into it

I almost had a good 70 Roadrunner project for a really good price a little while ago but it ended up being a little too far out of the way for me (Tennessee), it was just a rolling shell but im good with that as id have resto-mod plans anyway and wouldnt want to hack apart a numbers matching car. Whatever Mopar i end up with i plan to do a pro-touring kind of build with it, half built for the track and half for road trips (i feel a lot of people recently are losing touch with pro-touring, building track cars and calling them pro-touring. A pro-touring car should be equally at home on the track or on a road trip, not with a stripped interior or any of that. Performance, comfort, and daily driveability are what make a pro-touring car, not just performance alone)

My plan would be to build an A-body with a modern 6.1 hemi stroked to 440 with a T56 and mild gears (say 3.50-ish or 3.70-ish) to keep it spunky on the track but still pull down amazing mileage on the street, especially with the double overdrive which is part of the reason why im looking for a T56 rather than a TKO. Also i know of a few places with really amazing T56 rebuilt kits that go to 800-1000 horsepower. So 800-1000 and an extra overdrive vs 500-600 horse limit and a single overdrive, not a hard choice for me. Plus i like to build all my own stuff, not a big fan of buying crate motors, or in the TKO's case a sort of "crate trans" you could say. Would love to do this with a 70 Roadrunner as thats one of my all time favorite cars, here's a list of Mopars id be interested in doing this with:

70 Roadrunner/GTX
68-70 Charger (70 preffered)
69 Super Bee
71 Charger/Super Bee
71 Roadrunner/GTX

or non A-bodies

71 Demon
71 Cuda (good luck, but still, included nonetheless haha)
